Continuing Day Treatment – program serves adults with serious and persistent psychiatric illnesses who are vulnerable to stress and are in need of clinical support and assistance.
This program is certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH)
Gateway’s Continuing Day Treatment Program serves adults with serious and persistent psychiatric illnesses who are vulnerable to stress and are in need of clinical support and assistance. Its therapeutic framework helps each individual achieve the highest possible level of functioning and independence while avoiding frequent hospitalizations.
Gateway offers the highest quality of service to every person accepted for treatment. Gateway’s staff coordinates, integrates and oversees comprehensive services which enhance the person’s coping skills, develops social networking and reduces the stigma of mental illness.
Our programs use a combination or group therapy and individualized treatment planning.
*Medication Management is available, with a Psychiatrist and Registered Nurse on staff.
Program Schedule
Sunday through Saturday (7 days a week!) 8 AM to 3 PM
Eligibility
Individuals diagnosed with a severe and persistent psychiatric illness (this includes diagnoses such as Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder) over the age of 18.
Cannot be under ACT supervision.
Cannot be attending an outpatient clinic currently.
Convenient Transportation
Transportation to and from Gateway is provided for individuals. For those individuals who are independently travel trained, Gateway provides Metro-Card subway/bus fare.
Nutritious Meals
Breakfast/Coffee, Lunch, and Snack are provided daily free of charge.
