The program will have a Mother's Day celebration with arts and crafts activities and a catered brunch from Ihop.
Bronx Open House
The program will host an Open House for potential service recipients and their families to visit the program for a tour and information session with a light breakfast.
National Pizza Day
The Day Hab program will celebrate National Pizza Day with an exciting pizza party. Individuals will be able to choose from special slices with different toppings.
Field Trip: Movies
Staff will escort the weekend program to the movie theater to view a film of their choosing.
Field Trip: Field Day
The individuals will have a fun day at the park. The individuals will be able to exercise and play various outdoor games.
Celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
The groups will incorporate learning about AAPI month into their Literacy, Group Discussion, Art, Media, & Music lessons this week. On Friday 5/24/24, the groups will have the opportunity to learn about and sample fun snacks from around Asia.
Field Trip: Frozen Delight
The individuals will visit Frozen Delight to cool off with some ice cream while socializing with their peers.
Sip and Paint
Staff will provide the weekend program with guided art lessons for painting and crafts. The program will also have catered lunch from New China Garden.
Strawberry Picnic Party
May is National Strawberry Month! The programs will celebrate by having a Strawberry themed party. Some groups will participate in outdoor activities and a picnic at the park. Other groups will have special indoor games and activities. Catered lunch from Subway will be provided, as well as strawberry themed refreshments. *Alternate snacks will be made to consider those with allergies and other preferences.
Memorial Day BBQ
The Metro Programs are OPEN for Memorial Day Weekend. On Monday the individuals can come and enjoy a Memorial Day BBQ & Party.
Field Trip: Monster Mini Golf
The individuals will have the opportunity to play rounds of mini golf and various arcade games with their peers.
Mother's Day Tea Party
The program will host a tea party themed Mother's Day event. Staff will facilitate Bingo with prizes for the individuals to win.
Field Trip: Buffalo Wild Wings
Staff will escort the weekend program to Buffalo wild Wings Restaurant to socialize and share a meal.

Groups will participate in wellness-centered activities. The following groups will be offered:

The Supplemental Program will have a spring celebration with catered lunch from Applebee's
Untitled Event
The groups will welcome the Spring Season with our annual Spring Fling. Party with catered food from El Valle and special snacks
Earth Day (Alternate Schedule)
The program will provide supplies & activities for special Earth Day-themed activities. Examples: planting seeds, recycled art etc.
Field Trip: Sportstime USA
The individuals will have the opportunity to play various arcade games with their peers at Sportstime USA
Science Fair
Groups will plan a thoughtful science project and presentation for our science fair on 4/19/24. All groups will participate in the presentation and a special lunch from New China Garden will be provided
Paint & Sip
Staff will led the individuals in completing a special spring themed painting. Refreshments of cookies and sparkling sider will be provided
Field Trip: Olive Garden
Staff will escort the weekend program to Olive Garden Restaurant to socialize and share a meal.
Self Advocacy Week
April is Autism Awareness Month. We will focus on celebrating the individuals and providing them with a platform to tell their stories. Group discussions will be held with the theme using the slogans "Free to be Me" "See the Able not the Label", or "Different not Less" Groups will also complete a banner or art project to increase self-expression

Pizza Party
At the end of the week on Friday GDH will have a pizza party and the group that has read the most will have a special treat
Library Week
Staff will take their groups to the public library to utilize community resources. Staff will challenge the individual to read and focus on providing literacy lessons to those who are still learning.
Easter Party
The weekend program will have its easter celebration with easter activities and a catered lunch from the New China Garden Restaurant.
Field Trip: Dave and Buster's
The individuals will have the opportunity to play various arcade games with their peers at Dave and Buster's.
Easter Party
The program will have its annual easter celebration complete with arts and crafts, spring baking, egg hunt, and other various activities. There will also be a special party and catered lunch.
Field Trip: The Hudson River Museum Planetarium
The Supplemental Program will visit the Planetarium to see a presentation called Beyond the Sun.
St. Patrick's Day Party
The weekend program will host their own St. Patrick's Day celebration with a festive party.

The program is celebrating International Women's Day with a special Brunch & Paint Event. Staff will provide guided art lessons for advanced painting, crafts, and diamond art. The program will serve a brunch of Chicken and waffles.
