Participants will take a trip to Chocolate House to enjoy a sweet treat and socialize with peers for an enjoyable summer experience.

The weekend program will visit a local movie theater and veiw a film of their choosing.

Participants will enjoy a fun and engaging Pizza Party designed to promote socialization. This event will provide a relaxed environment where participants can participate in music and dance activites while enjoying a variety of pizza options and refreshments.

Gateway will host a Game Day Tournament featuring board games, interactive challenges, video games, and group competitions. Participants will have opportunities to demonstrate teamwork, practice problem-solving skills, and build patience while engaging in recreational activities with their peers.

Staff will escort the weekend program to Applebees's, where they will enjoy a meal while practicing social skills such as ordering, communication, and appropriate dining etiquette in a community setting.

To close out the month, participants will enjoy a Western-themed celebration. Individuals are encouraged to dress in Western attire such as cowboy hats, boots, or other themed accessories. The event will include music, games, and a catered lunch. Prizes will be awarded for participation and creativity.

Participants will visit a gaming lounge where they can engage in video games and interactive activities.

The program will host a Science Fair to support interactive learning. Participants will present their group projects and enjoy a special themed lunch and refreshments.

Participants will explore the Palisades Mall, where they can browse stores, enjoy the environment, and interact with peers.

Participants will visit a local shop to choose from a variety of sweet treats. This outing provides opportunities for community integration, socialization, and practicing decision-making skills.

Participants will take center stage during our lively Variety Show. This event provides individuals the opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork and communication skills. It will include game show-style activities with a chance to win prizes.

The program will transform into an "Under the Sea" experience, creating an immersive environment designed to promote creativity and social engagement. Participants will enjoy ocean-themed decorations, interactive activities, and refreshments. This event encourages peer interaction and imagination through themed music, visuals, and group participation.

The weekend program participants will enjoy a refreshing day outdoors at Pelham Bay Park. Activities may include nature walks, outdoor games, and relaxation in a scenic setting to support physical wellness and social interaction.

Participants attending on the holiday will enjoy a festive gathering with catered food, music, and structured social activities designed to celebrate Independence Day while promoting engagement and peer connection.

Gateway will kick off the holiday weekend with an Independence Day BBQ. This celebration will include grilled favorites, music, games, and patriotic-themed activities that encourage socialization.

The weekend concludes with a continuation of our Caribbean Heritage Celebration, including themed arts and crafts and a catered Jamaican-style lunch. Participants will enjoy a rich cultural experience centered on food, creativity, and community.

Participants will begin our Caribbean Heritage Weekend with a lively celebration featuring a Caribbean-style catered lunch, vibrant music, and opportunities for cultural exploration and social engagement.

The Supplemental program will continue the Welcome Summer Party, featuring food, music, and festive activities to mark the start of the season.

We will close out the month with our annual Summer Party, celebrating the arrival of the summer season. Participants will enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with a catered lunch, refreshing summer treats, music, and social activities. This event will also serve as the kickoff to our Caribbean Heritage Weekend in celebration of Caribbean Heritage Month.

Gateway will celebrate Father’s Day with a special catered brunch in honor of fathers and father figures. Participants will also enjoy themed arts and crafts, along with opportunities for socialization.

Participants will enjoy a day of friendly competition and fun at Turtle Cove Mini Golf, where they can practice coordination, social skills, and teamwork in a relaxed environment.

In recognition of Juneteenth, our program will host a special day of cultural appreciation and celebration. Participants will enjoy a catered meal featuring a variety of culturally inspired dishes, along with music, dancing, and engaging activities.

Wellness Sunday for this month will offer a picnic at the park.  This event encourages movement, fresh air, healthy eating, and positive social interaction.
