In recognition of the day of remembrance, participants will enjoy a peaceful painting activity. Individuals will express themselves creatively while enjoying special refreshments in a supportive environment that promotes relaxation, mindfulness, and positive social connections.

To celebrate Labor Day and the end of the summer season, participants will enjoy party featuring delicious food, music, games, and social activities. The event will provide opportunities for individuals to connect with peers and celebrate their accomplishments throughout the summer while enjoying a festive and supportive atmosphere.

Participants will enjoy a special trip to Häagen-Dazs where they can select and enjoy their favorite ice cream flavors and treats.  This outing promotes community integration, choice-making, and social interaction. Dietary considerations and accommodations will be provided.

The weekend program participants will visit Palisades Center Mall to have the opportunity to explore stores, practice money management skills, and interact with peers and community members.

The Supplemental program will also have the opportunity to participate in viewing a movie of their choice. Participants will enjoy a movie theater experience complete with a featured film and special snacks.

The program will host a movie showing to create the atmosphere of a private theater. Participants will have the opportunity to select a movie to enjoy with concession style snacks.

Join us as we celebrate the end of summer with a Beach Bash Event! Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite summer attire and enjoy a day filled with beach-themed fun. The event will feature specialty drinks, a catered lunch, themed snacks, interactive games, arts and crafts projects, music, and recreational activities designed to promote socialization and engagement.

The weekend program will enjoy an educational visit to the New York Aquarium, where they will explore fascinating marine exhibits and learn about aquatic wildlife. This community-based outing promotes learning, curiosity, sensory exploration, and social engagement.

Participants will close out the summer with a creative and relaxing End of Summer Paint & Sip Party. Guided painting activities will allow individuals to express themselves artistically while enjoying seasonal refreshments and socializing with peers. This event promotes creativity, self-expression and relaxation.

Staff will escort program participants to Turtle Cove Mini Golf, where they will navigate miniature golf courses alongside their peers. This community outing promotes socialization, teamwork, sportsmanship, and hand-eye coordination while encouraging participants to remain active and engaged.

The groups will visit Flaming Grill Chinese Buffet for a community dining experience that promotes independence and choice-making. Individuals will have the opportunity to explore a variety of food options, serve themselves with staff support as needed, and practice social dining skills with peers.

The program will host an Ice Cream Social for service recepients to create their own personalized ice cream sundaes by choosing from a variety of flavors, toppings, and sweet treats. This event encourages social interaction while providing a fun summer experience. Special dietary accommodations and allergy-friendly options will be available to ensure all participants can safely enjoy the celebration.

Program participants will enjoy an indoor carnival event featuring classic carnival games, opportunities to win prizes, themed activities, traditional carnival snacks, and a catered lunch complete with special carnival-inspired treats. This event promotes social engagement, recreational skill development, and friendly competition.

Participants will take a trip to Chocolate House to enjoy a sweet treat and socialize with peers for an enjoyable summer experience.

The weekend program will visit a local movie theater and veiw a film of their choosing.

Participants will enjoy a fun and engaging Pizza Party designed to promote socialization. This event will provide a relaxed environment where participants can participate in music and dance activites while enjoying a variety of pizza options and refreshments.

Gateway will host a Game Day Tournament featuring board games, interactive challenges, video games, and group competitions. Participants will have opportunities to demonstrate teamwork, practice problem-solving skills, and build patience while engaging in recreational activities with their peers.

Staff will escort the weekend program to Applebees's, where they will enjoy a meal while practicing social skills such as ordering, communication, and appropriate dining etiquette in a community setting.

To close out the month, participants will enjoy a Western-themed celebration. Individuals are encouraged to dress in Western attire such as cowboy hats, boots, or other themed accessories. The event will include music, games, and a catered lunch. Prizes will be awarded for participation and creativity.

Staff will escort the weekend program to Chili's, where they will enjoy a meal while practicing social skills such as ordering, communication, and appropriate dining etiquette in a community setting.

Participants will visit a gaming lounge where they can engage in video games and interactive activities.

The program will host guided arts and crafts sessions, including painting activities with a treat of frozen yogurt parfaits. Staff will support a creative experience to promote self-expression.

The program will host a Science Fair to support interactive learning. Participants will present their group projects and enjoy a special themed lunch and refreshments.

Participants will explore the Palisades Mall, where they can browse stores, enjoy the environment, and interact with peers.

Participants will visit a local shop to choose from a variety of sweet treats. This outing provides opportunities for community integration, socialization, and practicing decision-making skills.

Gateway will host a game tournament featuring board games, interactive challenges, video games, and group competitions. This event supports teamwork, patience, and recreational skill development in a structured and supportive environment.

Participants will take center stage during our lively Variety Show. This event provides individuals the opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork and communication skills. It will include game show-style activities with a chance to win prizes.
